In partnership with Empire – EMCO, Inc., the Hawaiian Tropic® Duo Pack has been chosen to receive the 2006 AmeriStar Award in the category of Health and Beauty Aids. The AmeriStar Package Awards honor the best packages of the year, showcasing creativity and innovation. Judging was based on innovation, protection, economics, performance, marketing and environmental impact. The Duo Pack is an exclusive packaging concept that combines two complementary products in one. Consumers have the option of carrying the product separately or as one.
AmeriStar winning packages will be displayed in the Hall of Packaging Excellence at the Packaging Summit Expo and Conference, May 15-17, 2007, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, Illinois.
During the show, the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) will host the 2006 AmeriStar Awards Presentation. There, Hawaiian Tropic® will receive an AmeriStar trophy. Editors from leading packaging publications will be there to cover the event.
As a winner, Hawaiian Tropic® will also be featured on the IoPP Web Site, and have their information sent to leading packaging publications such as Packaging World and Packaging Digest to name a few. Also, the Hawaiian Tropic® Duo Pack is entitled to enter the World Packaging Organization WorldStar Packaging Awards for 2006-2007.
