North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, May 2, 2003 - Luxury and beauty came together at the exotic Turtle Bay Resort on The North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii as the resort teamed up with Hawaiian Tropic®, longtime leaders in suncare, to host the 20th Annual Miss Hawaiian Tropic® International Pageant. Seventy-one beautiful contestants from across The World competed for the chance at the title.
We are proud to announce that the winner is Miss Erica Reams, Turks and Caicos. Fourth runner-up is Laura Davis, Taegu, South Korea; Third runner-up is Charityn Mendizabal, Guatemala City, Guatemala; Second runner-up is Viviana Rivasplata, Italy and First runner-up is Ashley Smith, Orlando, Florida. Miss Congeniality is Karla Arrunategui, Costa Rica. Miss Photogenic is Erica Reams, Turks and Caicos.
The Nair "Best Legs" Award went to Kim Choma, Odessa, Ukraine.
TrimSpa's Award for the Dream Body went to Ashley Smith, Orlando, Florida.
The theme for this year's pageant was "Celebrating 20 Years of Beauty."The pageant was hosted by actor Brian Heidik and 2002 Miss Hawaiian Tropic International, Shawn Cox. Sterling Rice co-hosted the pageant. Jack Walker was the Emcee of the event and musical entertainment was provided by Hawaii's own Eulalena. From the island of Maui, Eulalena is rated the number one show by the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau for the past four years. Eulalena is a 10 Million dollar art production that depicts Hawaiian heritage in its purest form.

The pageant festivities were filmed by Sterling Productions, in association with Bennett Productions, Inc., for an upcoming one-hour televised special that will broadcast nationally in the spring/summer of 2003.
